How white will my teeth get?
Everyone’s smile is different, so results vary from person to person. The outcome depends on factors such as your natural tooth colour, enamel structure, age, and lifestyle habits. Some people achieve noticeable brightening, while others see a more subtle change.
It’s also important to know that whitening will not change the colour of crowns, veneers, fillings, or bridges. Because of this, a professional assessment is always performed beforehand to check your suitability for treatment.
At The Whitening Lab, all treatments are provided by an AHPRA registered dental clinician using TGA approved dental-grade products under strict safety and hygiene protocols. While results cannot be guaranteed, we will always give you realistic advice about what to expect.

How long do the results last?
Whitening can last 6–12 months (and often longer), depending on your diet, lifestyle, and oral care routine. Regular cleans and avoiding staining foods/drinks (like coffee, red wine, or smoking) can help your results last longer.

Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes - when performed correctly, teeth whitening is considered safe. At The Whitening Lab, all treatments are carried out by a registered dental clinician, using dental-grade products under strict hygiene protocols.

 Does whitening work on everyone?
Not everyone is suitable. Whitening does not change the colour of crowns, veneers, fillings, or bridges, and some dental or gum conditions may make whitening unsuitable. That’s why we perform a professional dental consultation before any treatment.

Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some clients experience mild sensitivity during or after whitening. This is temporary and usually resolves within 24–48 hours. We provide aftercare advice and products to help manage sensitivity if it occurs.

Do I need a clean before whitening?

For best results, we recommend having a professional clean first. Plaque or tartar can block the whitening gel from working evenly. Our sister business Smiles on Wheels, can provide mobile preventive dental care in the comfort of your home (if required).

How long does a whitening session take?
Most treatments take 70-90 minutes including your assessment, shade check and teeth whitening treatment.

Can I do teeth whitening at home?
Yes, we offer The Whitening Lab – At-Home Radiance Kit (with LED Light). This option is convenient and allows you to top up your whitening when you like.

 How much does it cost?
We offer different teeth whitening packages to suit your needs -from express sessions to full teeth whitening treatments with take-home kits. You can see our full pricing on the Teeth Whitening Treatments page.
Most treatments take 70-90 minutes including your assessment, shade check and teeth whitening treatment.
